What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adaptive Gymnastics Instructor position at X-Cel Gymnastics?
Adaptive Instructor requirements
· Requires at minimum a basic background knowledge in special education, behavioral therapy of individuals with special needs and/or autism spectrum
· Ability to work with several children with varying exceptionalities in small group setting simultaneously
· Utilize basic gym safety protocols
· Teach gymnastics skills in basic moment progressions
· Lift / move up to 50lbs
· Work with children who have little to non-verbal communication abilities
· Calming techniques for overstimulation
· Rebound therapy knowledge a major plus
· Lots and Lots of patience with children and parents
