Work with government and product development personnel (leadership and subject matter experts) to build a holistic view of the material solution's strategy, processes, information, and information technology assets by developing and maintaining an integrated set of artifacts. The material solutions are those products that are associated with network hardware components, the software that operates and manages those components, the security software and devices / appliances, and the servers that make up data centers. Network engineering knowledge and skills would be a benefit to executing this architect position. The role of the enterprise architect is to ensure that the material solution architecture is in alignment with baseline and /or future reference architectures. The enterprise architect links an organization's business mission, strategy, and processes to its Information Technology (IT) strategy. The enterprise architect documents this strategy using multiple architectural models or views that show how an organization's current and future needs will be met. Place artifacts in an architecture repository for use in collaboration and use by engineering and operational personnel.
