Job Description

We're looking for a Talent Development Specialist with expertise in management and leadership development. In this pivotal role, you will design and facilitate impactful sessions and programs on a variety of management and leadership topics, equipping our teams with the skills and strategies needed to succeed. Join us to make a lasting impact on our organization's success!This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive talent development programs, which include elements of orientation, employee development, and management and leadership development. This role executes this by assessing specific developmental needs, collaborating with stakeholders across the business, creating and delivering targeted development initiatives, monitoring progress, and measuring and reporting on the effectiveness of these initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Conduct needs analysis to develop and deliver engaging training/development programs, workshops, and e-learning courses tailored to various employee needs and organizational goals.
- Define learning objectives and content requirements using the need analysis information.
- Collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders to gather, validate, and refine content.
- Utilize instructional design principles or collaborate with Instructional Designers to create effective and interactive learning materials.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to employees to enhance their skills and career progression.
- Administer and facilitate live and/or virtual training.
- Evaluate and revise training/development programs based on feedback and performance metrics.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in talent development and adult learning.
- Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any field or in lieu of degree, four years of experience in a role in which training was developed and/or delivered.
- Minimum of five years of general work experience of which four years of that experience must be in a role in which talent development training was developed and/or delivered.
- Experience with adult learning principles and ability to apply them in the design and development of talent development learning solutions.
- Knowledge of instructional design and training development.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively facilitate engaging and impactful training sessions, workshops, and development programs for diverse audiences.
- Provide feedback and guidance to more junior team members with the execution of the core tasks and responsibilities listed in the Job Profile Task/Responsibilities section of this document.
- Participate in training needs assessment meetings to identify learning objectives and content requirements.
- Manage multiple projects to ensure deliverables and/or tasks are delivered on time.
- Administer and facilitate live and/or virtual training.
- Attend training sessions to gain knowledge and skills and apply them in their work
- APTD or CPTD is preferred as well as experience with Docebo LMS
Location: Rockville, MD (Hybrid role with expectation of onsite 3x/week)

Compensation
