Job Summary:

XEC is looking for a Storm Water Manager to join our growing team of design enthusiasts and engineering professionals. Your role at XEC will include project design from preliminary studies through construction administration and project closeout, providing leadership and technical training to junior staff and playing an instrumental role in contributing to the health and growth of our business. You will provide technical designs and oversight, prepare engineering plans, work with project managers and junior staff, and handle a substantial workload of diverse tasks.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide storm water solutions to design challenges
  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic studies along with preparing technical reports
  • Prepare WQMP/LID reports, feasibility analyses, site layout, and stormwater management.
  • Prepare Storm Drain Improvement plan under the supervision of your project manager
  • Attend conferences, workshops, and/or webinars as needed in order to stay up to date on local, state, and federal regulations and serve as a representative of and advisor to the company
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff
  • Identify design criteria, plan, and execute effective designs
  • Facilitate coordination with project consultants
  • Prepare specifications and submit reports to clients and governing agencies
  • Ensure tasks are completed, and project schedules and budgets are met
  • Develop a positive working relationship with clients to promote growth opportunities
  • Supervise and prepare technical reports
  • Direct and/or conduct technical tasks such as site investigation/field inspection, due diligence, conceptual drawings


Required Skills/Abilities:

· Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities.

· Excellent time management skills.

· Proven ability to foster relationships with staff.

· Proven ability to successfully work on multiple projects concurrently.

· Proven ability to successfully work in a fast pace high pressure work environment.

· Flexible to accommodate changing needs of the company, clients, employees and/or projects.

· Proactive and intrinsically motivated.

· Consistent delivery of high-quality, technically sound material.


Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

· 5-10 years of civil engineering land development experience

· EIT required, PE preferred


Requirements:

· Ability to work remotely (high-speed internet, dedicated work space, etc.)

· PE preferred; EIT required.

· Required: expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, Autodesk Civil 3D and Bluebeam Revu.

· Preferred: experience in hydrology and drainage software including CivilDesign, Hydrocalc, SWMM, routing software and others.

Pay:

  • $115,000-$130,000/year
