We are looking for a versatile Mechanical Engineer to support our engineering projects during an exciting period of growth. You will be responsible for developing mechanical designs and transitioning traditional model building to innovative 3D printing techniques. This role requires a unique blend of technical proficiency and hands-on expertise, with an emphasis on CAD design using SOLIDWORKS.
Key Responsibilities :
Design & Development : Create detailed mechanical designs for components and systems that support both flight simulation and related applications.
CAD Mastery : Utilize SOLIDWORKS (preferred) to produce accurate, production-ready models and engineering drawings.
3D Printing Transition : Lead initiatives to transition from traditional model building to 3D printing, improving efficiency and reducing reliance on legacy processes.
Collaboration : Work collaboratively with simulation engineers, manufacturing teams, and project managers—often in a remote work setting—to ensure designs meet project specifications and quality standards.
Problem-Solving : Address design challenges through innovative solutions and adapt to increased project workloads during high-demand periods.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design, with strong proficiency in SOLIDWORKS.
Demonstrated ability to integrate 3D printing technologies into traditional design workflows.
A mix of technical design experience and practical, hands-on mechanical expertise.
Experience working in environments with government contracts or exposure to government engineering practices is beneficial.
Excellent organizational and communication skills, with proven success in remote or hybrid work arrangements.
