Engineer will design, develop, integrate, test, and document software to control flight simulation systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Design, develop, integrate, test, and document software for flight simulation systems and related computer systems.

Develop new software or modify existing applications using languages such as C / C and shell scripting in Linux or Windows environments.

Maintain and update software documentation and codebases.

Adhere to established industry and organizational processes and procedures.

Select and configure appropriate computer equipment to meet specific system requirements.

Recommend and incorporate modifications or enhancements to simulator designs and documentation.

Debug and configure training systems to meet both physical and logical requirements.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to deliver new or enhanced functionalities.

Assist the Systems Engineering team with software and hardware integration tasks.

Provide clear and consistent updates on activities and results to stakeholders, sponsors, and management.

Offer mentorship, training, and guidance to junior team members.

Experience Requirements

Experience Level : Mid-level (3 to 7 years)

Strong background in computer systems engineering.

Experience in software development on Linux and Windows platforms.

Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C , or C#.

Skilled in scripting environments, such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git or SVN.

Demonstrated expertise in at least one technical specialization area.

Strong analytical and mathematical skills.

Proficiency in business software tools, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint).

Additional Skills and Abilities

Ability to design, code, and test software related to flight simulation.

Strong interpersonal skills for building positive relationships with customers and team members.

Effective communication skills tailored to various audiences.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.

Capability to work independently or collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Knowledge of configuration management systems, hardware interfaces, and large-scale software development.

Attention to detail to ensure solutions meet business and operational requirements.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering (with a focus on software), or a related field.

Employment Requirements

Must be a United States citizen due to contractual obligations.

Ability to pass an initial background check.

Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active Department of Defense security clearance.

Proficient in English communication.

Willingness and ability to travel to installation sites for system installation and troubleshooting.

Compliance with pre-employment and random drug testing in a drug-free workplace.
