Software Engineer- Unity

Overview

We are seeking a talented Senior Hardware / Software Engineer (Game Developer) to design, develop, and enhance an advanced training application for the healthcare industry. This role merges Unity game development with scenario-based training, providing innovative simulation tools that empower medical technicians. The ideal candidate will collaborate with designers, medical training experts, and software engineers to create immersive applications that simulate real-world scenarios, promote critical thinking, and strengthen decision-making skills in medical training environments.

Key Responsibilities Core Development

Architect, design, and develop Unity-based applications focusing on performance and scalability.

Create engaging, interactive training applications using Unity game development software.

Collaborate with medical experts to align applications with training objectives and provide hands-on learning experiences.

Develop real-time interactive features, including decision-making and feedback mechanisms for an effective learning experience.

Conduct usability testing, analyze user feedback, and iterate to improve the training value of applications.

Diagnose and resolve issues in applications.

Feature Implementation

Develop interactive elements such as persistent active windows, touch / voice-activated tutorial videos, and virtual toggles for contrast adjustments.

Enable cross-device functionality with biometric recognition.

Integrate barcode scanning and inspection points into preparation modules.

Add cross-referencing capabilities and surgical instrument information with timers for efficiency tracking.

Expand video libraries, offer on-demand guidance, and enhance educational access to professional development materials, SOPs, and certifications.

Upgrade live camera feed systems with real-time navigation, focus sliders, and memory features.

Implement dynamic 360° remote assistance with voice command and eye-tracking capabilities.

Collaboration & Client Engagement

Participate in client meetings to gather requirements and provide technical insights.

Ensure deliverables align with organizational vision and customer needs.

Contribute technical expertise to product development and user experience discussions.

Qualifications Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Game Design, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

5 years of professional Unity development experience with a history of completed projects.

Strong proficiency in Unity, C#, and AR / VR / XR solutions.

Experience in healthcare or educational technology industries.

Ability to adapt to new technologies in a dynamic environment.

Proven ability to optimize software for multiple devices and platforms.

Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Preferred Skills

Familiarity with 3D modeling and animation tools.

Experience with cloud-based services and backend integrations.

Knowledge of UI / UX design principles.

Agile / Scrum development experience.

Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Project is a plus.
