Position Function:
Quantic X-Microwave is seeking a motivated PCB Layout designer to join our team to support design and development of complex radar, electronic warfare (EW) and airborne RF microwave assemblies and subsystems.
Quantic X-Microwave is experiencing substantial growth at our facility in Austin, Texas and we are seeking skilled talent to join our Engineering and Manufacturing team. The traditional way of designing and manufacturing complex RF products is not cost effective and time consuming with several design iterations required to meet our customers product specifications and performance. Our X-Microwave RF building blocks and integration schemes are disruptive and game changing when it comes to designing and developing complex RF microwave products.

The PCB Layout Designer will work closely with Engineering and report directly to the Design Group Manager.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities Include:
- PCB Layout
- Schematic Entry
- Component Selection
- Layout Optimization
- Assembly Drawing creation
- Bill of Materials creation
Requirements
Personal Qualifications:
- Intermediate to Advanced Level PCB Layout experience
- Use of Altium design software or equivalent (use of Keysight ADS a plus)
- PCB layout for RF and microwave circuits
- Translation of schematics and component placement for high-performance designs
- Team player, working in collaboration with other layout designers, engineers, and management.
- Creatively solve technical challenges in cost-effective ways
- Quickly learning and conforming to X-Microwave best practices and platform requirements
- Contribute lessons learned and improvements to the X-MW System
- Maintain positive relationships as part of a growing team.
- SolidWorks 3D design experience is a plus, but not required.
- Analog circuit design is a plus, but not required.
