What are the responsibilities and job description for the Branch Inventory Manager position at X - NIM?
Essential Functions:
Develop feedback and forecasting updates utilizing Gains, or other systems, and provide the updates to management.
Examine potential exceptional / lost sales in order increase accuracy of forecasts.
Maintain communications with sales and management to receive feedback on inventory issues that are affecting sales activity.
Recommend new stock item additions or deletions for all stocking items to be approved by the General Manager.
Develop branch inventory strategy along with General Manager, Branch Sales Manager and Corporate Purchasing.
Maintain branch inventory levels in keeping with corporate targets, strategies, and Key Performance Indicators
Initiate the replenishment of low or depleted stock items.
Communicate inventory replenishment needs to Purchasing in keeping with lead times.
Manage excess, secondary, or slow-moving inventory items to expedite disposition.
Manage and coordinate all inventory control procedures.
Provide recommendations to Operations Management for stocking locations to maximize efficiency on the floor.
Completes all inventory adjustments for reject, secondary and scrap material.
Initiates and completes all claims for all mill material.
Schedules & completes all end of year inventory counts for the entire Region.
Finalize all CPRs (Customer Performance Reports)
Create all POs and Buyouts, if needed
