Duties
- Greet customers warmly and ascertain their needs to enhance their shopping experience.
- Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash management.
- Assist customers with product inquiries, providing knowledgeable recommendations and product demos when necessary.
- Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor by stocking shelves, arranging displays, and ensuring products are well-presented.
- Utilize retail math skills to assist with inventory management and sales tracking.
- Engage in upselling and cross-selling techniques to maximize sales opportunities.
- Supervise junior staff members as needed, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Adhere to phone etiquette standards when responding to customer inquiries via phone or email.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating cash registers and POS systems is essential.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customer bases.
- Strong understanding of retail math concepts for effective inventory management.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to sell products effectively.
