Position Overview
A new position for a large EPC company is available on a contract basis. This role involves working on a greenfield project to implement onshore generators within Texas to stabilize peak demand.
You will create one-line diagrams based on project needs, develop AC and DC schematics, design wiring and interconnection diagrams, and perform necessary calculations. Familiarity with relay settings and RTU configuration is a plus as well as exposure to high-voltage systems.
This role will be pay between $80 - $100 per hour through a W2 set up.
Location
This position would be 3 days per week in the Energy Corridor office but may also involve some travel into north Houston.
Responsibilities
- Work with the project team to produce design documents, including one and three-line diagrams, protection and control schematics, and wiring / interconnection diagrams.
- Assist with the specification and procurement of substation equipment.
- Use engineering software to complete tasks like determining equipment sizes, calculating CT burdens, sizing batteries, and voltage drop calculations.
- Communicate project status and needs with team members and clients.
