Electrical Engineering Manager

A leading power generation company is seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers supporting plant operations, maintenance, and reliability. This role involves overseeing preventive/predictive maintenance, capital projects, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The position also includes coordinating with transmission operators and providing technical expertise to enhance fleet performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and mentor a team of engineers supporting plant operations and maintenance.
- Develop engineering solutions, including problem definition, cost analysis, and project execution.
- Oversee compliance with NERC Reliability Standards, including technical evaluations and data requests.
- Supervise electrical testing, maintenance, overhauls, and plant construction activities.
- Serve as the technical expert in power engineering and predictive/preventive maintenance.
- Establish and monitor departmental goals, policies, and procedures.
- Support generation projects by reviewing designs, specifications, and operational plans.
- Conduct research, analysis, and prepare technical reports or presentations as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BSEE preferred).
- Experience: 10 years in engineering, with at least 5 years in preventive/predictive maintenance at a commercial power plant. 5 years of leadership experience managing direct reports.
- Certifications: PE license preferred; valid driver’s license required.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Proficiency in PC-based tools for analysis and reporting
