About the Team
Join our dynamic team in the Americas, where innovation, safety, and teamwork drive success. Our Americas headquarters is in Pittsburgh, PA, and we operate state-of-the-art facilities throughout the region.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Operations, Process, and Project Management teams to develop Capex Projects, including scope, estimates, specifications, control narratives, and conceptual design.
- Contribute to mechanical engineering projects, providing support for system design, engineering reviews, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
- Review and approve external consultants' work, including drawings, specifications, RFQs, and vendor submissions.
- Prepare design drawings, specifications, and operational instructions.
- Ensure projects meet safety, environmental compliance, equipment reliability, and value engineering standards.
- Lead and coordinate internal and external resources, focusing on efficiency and performance enhancement.
- Troubleshoot mechanical systems and recommend cost-effective solutions.
- Collaborate with plant teams, process engineers, and project managers to meet project goals.
- Assist with other related responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Experience designing or troubleshooting mechanical systems like conveyors, crushers, fans, pumps, and lime kilns.
- Knowledge of codes and regulations (NFPA, MSHA, CEMA, OSHA).
- Strong mechanical engineering skills (electrical/civil experience is a plus).
- Proficiency with design software (AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit, AggFlow) and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
- Ability to complete conceptual designs, write specifications, and conduct bid evaluations.
- Ability to travel up to 30% domestically, with some international travel for critical project phases.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with relevant experience.
- 8 years of project engineering experience in an industrial environment, preferably in lime, cement, or mining.
- Strong track record of delivering projects on time while maintaining safety standards.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
