Job Description:
Seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer with expertise in the oil & gas midstream sector, specifically in the design and engineering of reciprocating natural gas compression packages. This role, based onsite in Houston, TX, will involve managing all aspects of gas compression projects, ensuring successful design, execution, and delivery of high-quality compression packages.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the design and engineering of reciprocating natural gas compression packages, ensuring compliance with client specifications and industry standards.
- Overseeing the preparation of detailed engineering designs, including P&IDs, mechanical and electrical schematics, and system layouts.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of equipment and components.
- Reviewing and ensuring compliance with ANSI B31.3 and other relevant codes and standards.
- Managing project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure on-time, cost-effective delivery of projects.
- Providing technical support to the procurement, construction, and commissioning teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Performing technical evaluations, risk assessments, and troubleshooting of engineering challenges.
- Reviewing and approving project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Interfacing with clients and stakeholders, providing regular project updates and addressing any issues or concerns.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, a PE license (preferred), and strong experience in the design of gas compression packages. Knowledge of ANSI B31.3, P&IDs, and natural gas compression systems is highly desirable.
