Job Title: Sr. Electrical Test Technician – Field Service Technician (Levels 2-4)
Location: Corpus Christi, TX (On-site)

We are seeking skilled Sr. Electrical Test Technicians to join our team in Corpus Christi, TX. This is a high-priority role with excellent growth opportunities for individuals who have a strong electrical background in medium to high-voltage systems and are ready to make an impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical testing and maintenance on power apparatus, substations, and switchgear, including:
- Protective relaying systems
- Power transformers
- Circuit breakers
- Current and potential transformers
- Station batteries and chargers
- Grounding systems, power cables, and motors
- Troubleshoot and analyze issues in high-voltage systems and recommend corrective actions.
- Create and deliver detailed technical reports on findings, services performed, and recommended repairs.
- Collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams to communicate project progress and solutions.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols – Zero Tolerance Policy for safety violations.
- Oversee project-specific tasks, mark up drawings for engineering submission, and ensure schedules are up to date.
- Learn and apply corporate engineering standards, document management systems, and specialized software.
Qualifications:
- Education/Experience:
- AAS in Electrical or Electronics Technology, BSEE, BSEET, or equivalent experience in high-voltage electrical systems.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in the high-voltage electrical industry.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- NETA or NICET Certification.
- Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of electrical AC/DC fundamentals, high-voltage theory, and substation components.
- Familiarity with NEC, NESC, IEEE, and ANSI standards.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and electrical testing equipment.
- Good communication skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Mathematics, including algebra and trigonometry.
- Additional Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to travel up to 50%.
- Power DB knowledge is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive hourly rate: $30 - $50/hour ($62k - $104k annually), based on experience.
