What You'll Be Doing
- Serve as the Product Manager for the Joint Development Environment (JDE), driving the architecture, deployment, and lifecycle management of virtualized, containerized, and cloud-based environments supporting USCYBERCOM cyber operations.
- Design, develop, and optimize Kubernetes-based infrastructure for cyber operations, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.
- Lead the integration of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native services to support containerized application development and deployment.
- Manage and enhance virtualized environments (VMware vSphere, ESXi, NSX, Tanzu), ensuring mission-critical systems operate efficiently.
- Provide technical leadership on network design, software-defined networking (SDN), firewalls, and secure cloud architectures to ensure interoperability across mission systems.
- Collaborate with cyber operators, developers, and infrastructure engineers to enhance the Joint Development Environment (JDE) and enable rapid deployment of cyber capabilities.
- Interface with USCYBERCOM leadership, mission teams, and interagency partners to translate operational requirements into actionable technical solutions.
- Develop and implement automation strategies (CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code) to streamline the deployment of cyber mission infrastructure.
- Support real-time cyber mission execution, ensuring the JDE provides secure, reliable, and adaptable cyber range environments.
- Mentor and train junior engineers, analysts, and mission planners in virtualization, cloud security, and Kubernetes-based infrastructure management.
WHAT REQUIRED SKILLS YOU'LL BRING
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10 years of experience in cyber operations, virtualization, cloud computing, and network architecture.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Kubernetes (K8s), Docker, and container orchestration tools.
- Deep knowledge of VMware vSphere, ESXi, NSX, Tanzu, and cloud virtualization solutions.
- Strong understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid-cloud environments.
- Proven experience designing and managing secure network architectures, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and software-defined networking (SDN).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, Ansible, Helm, and Kubernetes security best practices.
- Familiarity with cyber threat intelligence, adversary tactics (TTPs), and defensive/offensive cyber operations.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to senior leaders, engineers, and mission operators.
WHAT PREFERRED SKILLS YOU'LL BRING
- Industry certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or CISSP.
- Experience integrating Kubernetes with cyber ranges, simulation environments, and mission networks.
- Familiarity with USCYBERCOM, NSA, and DoD cyber operations frameworks and authorities.
- Experience working with classified and unclassified cloud environments, on-premises deployments, and hybrid cloud infrastructures.
- Strong understanding of Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) principles and cybersecurity frameworks.

- Salary Range: $240,000 (depending on experience and education)
- Time Off: 24 Days PTO and 13 Federal holidays
