xAI is seeking an engaging and professional safety champion to support the ongoing growth of the organization's safety program.
Reporting to the HSE Manager, the Emergency Response Team Member will be prepared to respond to safety and medical emergencies at the site at all times. The ERT member is a critical member of the onsite safety team and will operate with a heightened sense of safety awareness.
This is an in-person role based in Memphis, Tennessee, and may require minimal travel.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a first responder for on-site medical and safety emergencies
- Maintain and perform periodic inspections of safety equipment
- Utilize specialized equipment to extinguish fires
- Perform first aid to injured personnel
- Act as resource to security team when needed
- Conduct regular patrols of property throughout entire length of shift
Basic Qualifications
- EMT Certified
- 2 years of military, law enforcement, or emergency response experience
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
- Achieve OSHA 10 Certification within 6 months of hire date
- Must be willing to work either a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift schedule.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Firefighter I/II certification
- OSHA 10 Certification
- 2 years of leadership experience in military, law enforcement or emergency response
- Experience in a safety function managing large sites, corporate, or manufacturing environments is desirable
