Job Summary:
The basic responsibility of this position is to provide cleaning and upkeep of the public areas in Employee Residences at a specific location. The DC will follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules and work with the Housing Manager/Assistant and Residence Coordinators on special projects as needed.
The Details:
Position Type: Seasonal
Season Dates: Starting August 13th or 27th - Mid October 2024
Pay: $15/hr.
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, and holidays)

Responsibilities
- Responsible for cleaning and upkeep of the public areas in employee residences at a specific location. Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules and work with the Housing Manager/Assistant and Residence Coordinators on special projects as needed.
- Safe, thorough cleaning of employee dorms and their immediate vicinity.
- Use of proper operating and preventative maintenance techniques with Company issued equipment and cleaning agents such as vacuum cleaners and chemicals.
- Handle issued keys with proper level of security.
- Support efforts of fellow staff members and contribute to the team effort in whatever capacity may be needed.
- Serve as a role model for residents. The minimum expected is the personal observation of all residence hall regulations, Xanterra Parks & Resorts policies, state and federal laws.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Interpersonal communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of housekeeping procedures.
- Organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as a team player.
- Demonstrated skills relating to training, time management, organization, leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication.
- Familiarity with seasonal housing operations preferred.
Physical Requirements include:
- Must be capable of moving/lifting objects up to 50 pounds and maintain a moderate level of exertion.
- Ability to walk moderate distances and climb stairs multiple times throughout shift.
- Ability to sustain periods of standing, bending, flexing, pushing/pulling vacuum, performing cleaning duties as needed
- Must be able to walk up to one mile continuously.
- Must be able to kneel or lay flat on the ground to inspect employee rooms and bathrooms.
- Must be able to walk on uneven terrain, including icy and snow-covered areas.
