The Details:
Position Type: Full-time, Seasonal. There are NO full-time year-round positions available.
Season Dates: Mid-May until mid-October
Pay: $20.35
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

- Perform all duties with respect to the Company’s Core Values, Mission Statement, and guest service standards.
- Ensure the highest standards of restaurant service are met for the guests, the company, and the National Park Service.
- Assist the F&B manager in the day-to-day operation of the café, especially in the absence of the F&B Manager.
- Assist F&B Manager in product ordering, monthly inventories, stock verification, organization, etc.
- Assist F&B Manager with staff supervision and training as needed.
- Candidates will be responsible for knowing and working all areas of the café, working alongside all food outlet attendants.
- Communicate with F&B manager and general manager regarding the café operation, business needs, staffing, and employee issues.
- Help with loading and unloading box truck with product needed to run the café on a daily basis.
- Coordinate with F&B manager regarding issues, product needs, merchandising, and training.
- Ensure all employees receive appropriate training for their position and training is documented appropriately.
- Provide excellent guest service for all. Greet guests with a smile.
- Work alongside staff, leading by example, delegate tasks while leading with a positive and professional manner. No task is too small.
- Comply with ServSafe protocol.
- Maintain established standards of sanitation throughout the operation.
- Enforce HACCP food sanitation program for entire facility.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the dining and service areas.
- Receive orders and help maintain inventory par levels in the cafe.
- Keep the café clean on a daily basis, which includes but is not limited to sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, polishing, mopping, trash removal.
- Maximize sales by using menu knowledge and suggestive up-selling techniques.
- Handle cashier change requests.
- Verify attendants cash drawers & deposits.
- Responsible for safe and cash banks.
- Give accurate helpful information to guests.
- Alert manager to shrinkage, guest problems and concerns.
- Assist the F&B manager with scheduling, supervising, and developing café personnel. Assist in maintaining proper employee files and assist with evaluations.
- Work espresso coffee bar, hot line, and food prep as directed by manager.
- Ensure register areas are routinely cleaned.
- Communicate with F&B manager and leads, to guarantee appropriate management coverage for every shift. Cover floor management shifts as needed.
- Ensure all employees receive informal feedback from their supervisor on a regular basis and written evaluations, periodically.

- This is a non-tipped position.
- Previous restaurant supervisory and/or management experience essential.
- Must be ServSafe Certified.
- Must have knowledge of HACCP.
- Must understand and enforce FIFO (First In-First Out) procedures.
- Working knowledge of all positions supervised.
- Working knowledge of all equipment used within the food and beverage operation.
- Knowledgeable of procedures and policies used within the food and beverage operation and company.
- Ability to creatively problem solve and select a course of action.
- Must be able to remain calm in a high stress environment.
- Ability to teach and motivate employees to accomplish goals.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload and follow-up with specific timelines.
- Ability to communicate in a positive, efficient manner, and hold individuals accountable for their responsibilities.

- Must possess a non-CDL, valid driver’s license, and a clean record.
- Candidate must be able to work at an altitude of 12,000 feet.
- Able to stand/walk for a minimum eight to ten hour shift.
- Frequently lift and carry cartons weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must have the ability to walk up and down stairs several times a day.
- Carry boxes/product up and down stairs several times a day.
- Must be able to bend down or kneel to stock product frequently during a shift.
- May need to climb ladders as requested.
