Assist guests in a courteous and knowledgeable manner, answering questions regarding the park, prices, and merchandise. Support of Retail department, Retail and Assistant Retail Managers.
The Details:
Position Type: Full-time, Seasonal. There are NO full-time year-round positions available.
Season Dates: Mid-May until mid-October
Pay: $16.15
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

- Perform all duties with respect to the Company’s Core Values, Mission Statement, and guest services standards.
- Perform all cashiering duties properly; ring up all sales before taking money, call out amount tendered in “dollars and cents”, place bills on register, and count back change.
- Suggest add-on sales to every transaction performed.
- Assist the retail manager in organizing the stockroom. Stock product as necessary, making sure all displays are kept stocked, neat and clean.
- Receive orders and help maintain inventory levels in the store. Complete orders, process shipping orders, and transfers.
- Keep the sales floor clean on a daily basis, which includes but is not limited to sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, polishing, mopping, scrubbing, and trash removal.
- Build displays according to visual merchandising guidelines.
- Stock merchandise as necessary, making sure all displays are kept stocked, neat and clean within the guidelines of the Retail Visual Merchandise Manual.
- Assist with loading and unloading of retail merchandise.
- Give accurate helpful information to guests.
- Assist the retail manager with staff supervision and training as needed.
- Discuss concerns with the retail manager or assistant manager. Alert manager to shrinkage, guest problems and concerns.
- Maintain effective cooperation with retail manager and other co-workers.
- Serve as a role model for less tenured and experienced staff through appropriate conduct, technique, etiquette and dress code.
- Maintain a safe work area.
- Deal courteously with guests on the phone.
- Handle complaints & compliments with ease.
- Handle cashier change requests.
- Verify retail associate cash drawers & deposits.
- Responsible for safe and cash banks. Be able to make change for cashiers accurately.
- Assist in making the required safe deposit.
- Communicate with retail manager, assistant manager, and leads to guarantee appropriate management coverage for every shift.
- Cover floor management shifts as needed.
- Perform duties outside the job classification assigned by management along with any other responsibilities deemed necessary.
- Able to operate a POS system, handle cash accurately, open and close the store with or without assistance.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of retail procedures.
- Excellent communication and guest service skills.
- Basic math skills with the ability to make change.
- Working knowledge of all positions supervised.
- Able to function with flexibility and courteous behavior in a high traffic seasonal retail operation.
- Acquire and demonstrate an advanced knowledge of products sold in the gift shop.
- Able to train fellow associates on product attributes and retail procedures.
- Able to work with minimal supervision, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Demonstrate basic awareness of general shop security and theft prevention.
- Must be able to remain calm in a high stress environment.
- Must possess a non-CDL, valid driver’s license, and a clean record.
- Candidate must be able to work at an altitude of 12,000 feet.
- Ability to stand/walk for a minimum eight to ten hour shift.
- Frequently lift and carry cartons weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Must have the ability to walk up and down stairs several times a day.
- Carry boxes/product up and down stairs several times a day.
- Must be able to bend down or kneel to stock product frequently during a shift.
- Must be able to climb ladders as requested.
