Job Summary:
Our Engineering and Maintenance department does it all! From troubleshooting to preserving our rich history and being stewards of our iconic lodges, hands-on skills are needed to get the job done right. There are a variety of positions at our parks and lodges that range from skilled technicians to skilled trades.Plumbers will perform plumbing assessments, preventative maintenance and the repair/replacement of new and existing plumbing systems.
The Details:
Position Type: Seasonal
Season Dates: December 2024 to March 2025
Pay: Insert Pay $20.50 - $22.50/Hour
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities
- Implements the planned and scheduled workload, ensuring quality of work, timeliness and cost effectiveness.
- Performs plumbing assessments, preventative maintenance, and the repair/replacement of new and/or existing plumbing systems.
- Accountable for accurately documenting labor and materials used on jobs and for the ordering of items needed for job completion or inventory replacement.
- Ensures proper work method and products are used on both historic and non-historic structures.
- Responsible for ensuring all work is performed in compliance with current codes.
- Safeguards the care, maintenance and security of all assigned equipment and tools.
- Maintains a safe work environment and ensures proper Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is being correctly used.
- Maintains a spirit of cooperation within the departments throughout the location.
Qualifications
- Must have the mechanical aptitude required to complete common plumbing repairs.
- Must be proficient in the operation and use of common plumbing equipment and tools.
- Must have a general knowledge of OSHA requirements and the use of personal protective equipment.
- Must be able to read, understand and comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Must be capable of and willing to advance his or her plumbing knowledge and expertise through on-the-job training and self-study.
- Must be at least 19 years old and have valid driver’s license; good driving record required.
Physical Requirements:
- This position may require the use of respiratory protection and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Must be capable of lifting and moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must possess physical stamina to perform labor of moderate intensity, sometimes in an outside environment at altitude (6,000 – 8,000 feet above sea level).
- Must possess physical stamina to withstand heavy, labor-related work in an outside environment, including standing, bending, kneeling, crawling for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to walk long distances over uneven terrain and climb stairs and ladders in all types of weather conditions.
