We're hiring a year-round Plumber (Old Faithful area) to Live. Work. Explore. in Yellowstone!
Job Summary :
The Plumber resides in the Old Faithful area in dormitory style housing. Access to and from the Old Faithful location during the winter season is limited to snowcoach or snowmobile. This position is responsible for troubleshooting and employing the technical plumbing skills necessary for the safe operation, repair and maintenance and seasonal opening / closing of Xanterra facilities, equipment and assets.

Pay : To be discussed during interview
Schedule : Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days / per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Perform plumbing assessments, preventative maintenance, and the repair / replacement of new and / or existing plumbing fittings, equipment, and systemsPerform, track, and report work associated with corrective and preventive maintenance of structures and equipment, using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and work order logsUse the appropriate tools and materials needed for the completion of work orders in a safe and efficient mannerContribute to a safe, clean, healthy, respectful, and cooperative work environmentCommunication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with a polite demeanor and professional appearanceSelf-motivated, able to work independently with limited supervision, and willing to occasionally work overtime and / or nightsQualifications
Must have a minimum of 2 years of plumbing experience, valid plumbing license is preferredMust be proficient in the troubleshooting, operation, and use of plumbing equipment and tools common to the tradeMust be proficient in maintaining and repairing water, sewer, and fuel system components including but not limited to fixtures, piping (above-ground and underground), pumps, water heaters, back-flow prevention devices, and appliancesMust be proficient in pipe threading, pro-press, soldering, and acetylene weldingMust possess a working knowledge of drawings, plans, plumbing codes, and standardsInnovation, professional curiosity, patience, and tenacity when faced with new or perplexing issuesMust have general knowledge of OSHA requirements and the use of personal protective equipmentMust be able to read, understand and comply with all company policies and proceduresMust have the ability to mentor and train less experienced Maintenance staffPhysical Requirements
May require the use of respiratory protection and compliance with the applicable respiratory protection program regulationsMay require work in confined spaces and permit-required confined spacesAble to walk up to a half mile over uneven terrain, climb stairs and ladders, stand, bend, kneel and crawl in all types of weather conditions at elevations exceeding 6,000 ftCapable of lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 50 poundsPossess physical stamina to perform heavy labor in an outside environmentMust be at least 21 years old and possess a current, valid, driver's license with a good driving record for the past 3 yearsWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
