Job Summary
Xavier University of Louisiana seeks a detail-oriented, innovative, and highly organized CRM Administrator to oversee the university’s Slate CRM platform, which is central to managing both undergraduate and graduate recruitment efforts. This position is responsible for the administration, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of two separate instances of Slate (undergraduate and graduate). The CRM Administrator will collaborate with key stakeholders in Admissions, Enrollment Management, and Marketing to ensure Slate supports the university’s recruitment goals and enhances the prospective student experience.
This role will also involve the management of Slate as part of its integration with Banner, the university’s Student Information System (SIS), ensuring seamless communication between systems. The CRM Administrator will handle data management, reporting, and system optimization while maintaining compliance with internal and external regulations. AA/EOE
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Information Systems, Data Analytics, Higher Education, or a closely related discipline).
- At least 3 years of experience managing and/or administering Slate CRM or a similar CRM platform in a higher education setting.
- Strong technical proficiency in CRM administration, including system configuration, data management, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools, with a solid understanding of enrollment and recruitment metrics.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing multiple instances of CRM systems (e.g., undergraduate and graduate).
- Knowledge of SQL, HTML, CSS, or other relevant programming languages.
- Demonstrated ability to train and support users with varying levels of technical expertise.

CRM Administration and Management:
- Serve as the primary administrator for two instances of Slate CRM (undergraduate and graduate), ensuring smooth operation and alignment with university recruitment strategies.
- Manage system configurations, user accounts, security roles, and permissions to maintain data integrity and compliance with institutional, state, and federal regulations.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with Slate support to resolve problems promptly.
System Optimization and Innovation:
- Identify opportunities to enhance Slate’s functionality and efficiency to support the university’s evolving recruitment goals.
- Implement best practices in CRM usage, including workflow automation, data segmentation, reporting, and communication strategies.
- Regularly update and maintain Slate functionalities such as queries, forms, event management, portals, and email campaigns.
Data Management and Reporting:
- Ensure data within Slate is accurate, secure, and compliant with relevant regulations.
- Generate and analyze data reports to support strategic decision-making in undergraduate and graduate recruitment.
- Provide actionable insights based on CRM analytics to continuously improve recruitment strategies.
Collaboration and Training:
- Partner with the Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions teams to align Slate CRM processes with recruitment goals and ensure its full integration into university systems.
- Train and support staff and faculty users on Slate functionalities, ensuring proper usage and adoption of best practices.
- Collaborate with IT, Marketing, and other departments to integrate Slate with Banner and other university systems.
Project Management and Implementation:
- Lead projects to implement new Slate features and updates, ensuring successful execution and adoption across departments.
- Oversee the integration of Slate with external tools and platforms, including APIs, to enhance system capabilities.
