Xavier University’s Office of Residence Life seeks to fill multiple Hall Director positions within the Office of Residence Life. The Hall Director is a key position in carrying out the mission of the department and plays a significant role in the quality of life experienced by all members of the residence hall community.
The Hall Director is a full-time, live-in, 12-month professional staff member and is responsible for developing and administering a comprehensive residence life program in their hall housing for 200-550 students. This position reports to the Associate Director, Residence Life or the Assistant Director, Residence Life.
Job Responsibilities Includes But Not Limited To
Annual Salary: $43,888
Amenities: includes professional development funds, a partially furnished two-bedroom apartment including basic furniture, air conditioning, dishwasher, washer/dryer, high speed internet access, designated parking space, and Xavier Dining Dollars. May have one or two small pets with deposit.

Job Responsibilities Includes But Not Limited To
- Developmentally supervise a Resident Assistant (RA) staff of 7-15 members including creating a unified team by providing individual supervision and feedback, training, and development.
- Obtain a high level of student contact, visibility, and availability through consistent presence in residential community.
- Coordinate the administrative, building operations, management and personnel functions of a residence hall/apartment complex of 207-535 residential students.
- Provide leadership and/or assistance to system-wide projects for the Office of Residence Life, divisional, and University committees.
- Rotate on-call duty nights and weekends with other professional staff members to serve as a point of contact for residential crisis response.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s degree preferred in College Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration, or related field
- 1-3 years of relevant experience
- Advanced analytical skills
