Job Responsibilities
- Promote and direct administrative operations for the Xavier University Police Department (XUPD) by managing communications, maintaining relationships across campus, and addressing employee concerns.
- Prepare documents, reports, and correspondence on behalf of XUPD leadership, including social media monitoring and communications regarding policies and procedures.
- Manage calendars for the XUPD leadership team, coordinate meetings, and oversee the department’s operating budget by reviewing financials, processing invoices, reconciling P-Cards, approving payroll, and identifying cost-saving measures.
- Train and supervise student employees, coordinate hiring processes in collaboration with Human Resources, and oversee employee onboarding, training, and performance review processes.
- Maintain XUPD’s SharePoint and website, ensure compliance with university policies and regulations, and assist with special projects assigned by the Chief of Police or Vice President of Risk Management.
- Process public records requests, manage records retention, and ensure HR documents are shared appropriately with the Office of Human Resources.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings for XUPD, the University Safety Committee, and the Campus Emergency Response Team (CERT), while recording and maintaining meeting minutes for department records.

- Associate’s degree
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Bachelor’s degree
