Xavier University’s Office of Care and Support Services (CSS) under the Division of Student Affairs is seeking an Associate Director of Care and Support Services who will play a critical role in cultivating an inclusive and welcoming campus community by providing developmental coaching and case management support services to Xavier University’s undergraduate and graduate students. Using a holistic, individualized approach grounded in our Jesuit value of Cura Personalis, the Associate Director will manage a case load of students and provide support through a variety of support plans, referrals and follow-up services that promote student resilience, and wellbeing. This position serves as a leader in CSS and supervises Assistant Director staff by providing training, mentorship, consultation and managing office process and protocols. The individual in this role will serve on the Xavier Action and Care Team (XACT) and serve as co-chair for the Xavier Coordinated Retention Team (XCRT).

- Manage and utilize EAB Navigate platform or any other student success management system, to proactively identify at-risk students, deliver targeted interventions, track student progress, and collaborate with faculty and staff to optimize student support services.
- Analyze data across many platforms to effectively and proactively identify at-risk students, deliver targeted interventions, track student progress, and collaborate with faculty and staff to optimize student support services.
- Maintaining the EAB Navigate system by updating student data, managing user access, and troubleshooting technical issues.
- Providing training to faculty and staff on using EAB Navigate features to effectively support student success.
- Proactively engage in comprehensive case management for students referred by campus alerts or those that have otherwise been identified at risk through data and analytics.
- Collaborate with on and off campus partners to formulate intervention plans and expediate resolution of problems for student success; facilitate and consult on meetings with students, faculty, staff and family members or guardians on topics including but not limited to concerning behavior, individual student support plans and resources, University/community procedures, processes and follow-up.
- Stay abreast of research pertaining to the support for academic and personal needs of students; especially for those at-risk of attrition.
- Primary source of on and off campus support resources and make appropriate referrals.
- Lead and manage all efforts including data collection related to academic student success and case load managements.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding student issues, be aware of mandatory reporter status and be knowledgeable and follow FERPA laws and secure written permission from the student to speak with third-parties as appropriate.
- Collaborate with campus partners and staff in CSS in the development and coordination of outreach and training efforts directed at students, faculty, and staff regarding XCRT and the Student of Concern reporting process, University resources and working with students of concern.
- Master’s degree required in Higher Education, Counseling, Education, Administration or related field.
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
