Design Group is recruiting for a Senior Planner at our Main Plant - Berwick, PA. This position reports to the Senior Planning Manager.
- WHAT WILL I DO IN THIS ROLE?
- Run / review initial schedule.
- Check / expedite / order raw materials and supplies.
- Issue orders when required.
- Expedite items at packing.
- Review work centers for overloads and overtime.
- Run / review final schedule (next day after MRP is run).
- Generate priority lists by work center, including packing areas.
- Review schedule with critical to department.
- Develop and implement production plans.
- Reviewing available inventory.
- Reviewing / ordering and expediting raw materials and supplies.
- Laying out schedules and issuing production.
- Issuing / monitoring staffing requirements.
- Check Red List and take appropriate actions.
- Observe operations of floor, review and take action to solve problems, and emphasize priorities.
- Review and implement any required overtime.
- Release custom orders and follow up to make sure acknowledged dates are met.
- Review production and record complete orders.
- WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED?
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or 3 years’ planning experience will be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in planning or manufacturing.
- Has knowledge of confidential data (customers, prices, vendors, capital projects, and machines) and the work requires its use.
- Ability to travel when necessary.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency with the AS400 and excel spreadsheets required.

- Facilitate the Go / No Go analysis / decision through a firm understanding of the opportunity value and fit for the Consigli CM model.
- Lead the proposal process and determine the correct resources and timing of deliverables to keep the proposal on track.
- Contribute to the content of proposals and interviews by working closely with the marketing department.
- In partnership with Operational Leads, prepare interview team for a successful interview experience.
- Ensure alignment with Regional Office Business Plans and support where needed in the business planning process.
- Mentor more junior members of the Business Development team to ensure success of the team in the future.
- Participate in industry organizations and trade shows towards extending the Consigli brand and growing a network of contacts and potential clients.
- Actively manage and update the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database to reflect real-time status of opportunities within the sales pursuit life-cycle and actions needed to win work.
- Maintain memberships in professional organizations and attend industry even.
