Xavier University’s Office of Residence Life is seeking applications for the Associate Director, Residence Life. The Associate Director supervises professional staff members and is responsible for the oversight of four residence halls. Additionally, the Associate Director is responsible for the recruitment, selection and training of the Resident Assistant staff; and serves in a leadership role on departmental, divisional, and University committees.

- Supervise four master’s level professional staff members directly (four Hall Directors) and two professional staff members indirectly; provide oversight of four residence halls on-campus.
- Supervise and coordinate the Resident Assistant program including RA Training, RA Recruitment and Selection.
- Manage Residence Life programming budget; manage Alcohol and Other Drugs fund proposals and budget.
- Assist the Director of Residence Life with the overall management and supervision of the Office of Residence Life, including providing leadership at the departmental, divisional and University level.
- Serve as a member of X-ACT (Xavier Action and Care Team).
- The Associate Director shares responsibility for 24/7 hour on-call coverage for significant crisis situations ranging from significant conflicts and conduct incidents related to life threatening events.
- Assist with and /or assume leadership of Residence Life committees and projects as needed which may include housing selection and assignments, budget, and assessment.
- Represent the Office of Residence Life and provide leadership to divisional and University committees
- Master’s degree required in Higher Education Administration, College Student Personnel, Student Affairs, or related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Excellent writing and analytical skills.
