Xavier University’s Office of Human Resources is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Benefits and Compensation Specialist to join our team. This position supports the daily administration of employee benefits and compensation, helping to ensure that faculty and staff receive timely, accurate information and support in navigating the benefits offerings. This position reports to the Director of Benefits, Compensation and HR Technology.

- Primary day-to-day contact for employee benefit and compensation inquiries, providing timely and accurate information.
- Maintain HR website for benefit resources, legal requirements, and announcements.
- Present University’s benefit offerings at new employee orientation.
- Evaluate new and existing jobs to determine FLSA status, job levels and compensation ranges.
- Lead the annual Open Enrollment process including system testing, communication development and delivery, and audits.
- Reconcile monthly benefits invoices.
- Administrative support to various benefit/compensation committees
- Bachelor’s degree required, Human Resources or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in benefits and compensation administration.
- Workday experience preferred.
- Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Exceptionally detail-oriented and well-organized.
- Ability to use discretion in decision-making and problem solving.
