Job Summary
As Director of Sales, you are a passionate leader of people, processes, and business development. You will develop and implement sales strategies, drive business development leads, train the sales team and be responsible for all sales functions. In this role, you will drive overall growth through multiple channels while leading a team of talented sales professionals to meet revenue and profit goals. You are a good fit for this role if you have a track record of scaling industrial product organizations by developing strategies and programs to drive market growth.
Responsibilities
Sales Leadership
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally
- Build a robust, well-functioning go-to-market team to enable the company’s profitable, long-term growth
- Lead the Commercial organization through: Profit and Loss management; meeting and exceeding revenue targets; and achieving commercial business objectives focused on industrial and consumer market opportunities
- Develop, monitor, and hold accountable to best practices regarding the customer experience
- Represent the company as a senior leader at trade shows, PR forums, and community meetings
- Ability to attract and retain top sales talent to support the company’s growth goals
Sales Strategy Development
- Develop the overall sales strategy, lead business development
- Identify and evaluate external opportunities to advance the company’s strategic position
- Ensure financial goals are met
- Stay up to date on the market, competitors, and trends. Assess and identify commercial acquisition targets
- Provide recommendations on new marketplace channels, adjacent opportunities, and geographies for growth
- Manage sales team through clear objectives, sales metrics, and 1:1 accountability. Modify territories, incentives, and job roles as necessary to meet goals
Reporting, Budgeting, and Forecasting
- Build and maintain sales metrics, reporting, budget, and forecasting in regular rhythm (weekly…yearly)
- Manage and measure sales process, supply chain, and workflow, maximizing efficiency and growth
- Develop and deliver project plans with cross-functional teams to fill gaps and improve processes with clear accountability and timelines
Other Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Expert knowledge in all aspects of sales management, including but not limited to: forecasting, goal setting, team planning, account mapping, resource management, time management, selling to the relevant executive, and conducting executive briefings
- Strong resilience and an aptitude for crafting creative strategies to achieve business growth and gain market share
- Strong ability to strategically analyze data, think and execute on long-term actions
- Credibility and influence, learning agility, a creative and innovative mindset and approach, a sense of urgency, and a high level of engagement
Reporting Structure: Reports to the Chief Executive Officer and works closely with the Sales, Operations, and Logistics teams.
Location: In-person 4 days per week in Graham, TX; 1 day remote weekly. Reimbursement for commuter expenses (outside 100 miles) is available.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering, or related field. Master's Degree or MBA preferred
- 15 years of experience leading a large, multimarket, multichannel national sales function
- 15 years of experience developing and executing on robust sales strategies and delivering on multi-million-dollar sales targets
- 10 years of experience leading and managing a sales team
- 5 years of experience in B2B, B2C, or Rental Market
- Technological proficiency in Microsoft Suite especially Excel, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, and HubSpot
- Thorough understanding of the construction, housing, hospitality, municipalities, and energy markets

Salary : $115,000 - $175,000
