Data Analyst (contract)

Job Summary

The role focuses on supporting the optimization of the real-time ADMS system for operating the Electric Distribution grid. Collaborating with various teams, this position involves model promotion/validation, testing/troubleshooting, SCADA device instantiation, and application configuration activities. Monitoring and maintaining the ADMS impedance model and integration with Distribution Automation field devices are key responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal departments on data management and validation.
• Resolve model promotion issues for ADMS impedance model construction.
• Support ADMS implementation and maintenance across Operating Companies.
• Provide ADMS device integration support and resolve performance issues.
• Configure ADMS user interface elements and mapping products.
• Monitor and maintain ADMS model accuracy for substations and field grids.
• Generate reports on remote device availability, grid performance, and situational awareness.
• Conduct tag audits and model audits in line with operational best practices.
  
  

Skills

• 2 years of GIS experience; GE Smallworld preferred.
• 2 years of Electric Distribution Operations or similar experience.
• Experience with Geospatial Database Integration.
• Familiarity with SCADA or other remotely controlled devices.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional environment supporting multiple work streams.
• Knowledge of more than one Xcel Energy Jurisdiction.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Knowledge or experience with Schneider Electric ADMS.
