This position will be responsible for ensuring material inventory levels are correct. Locate laydown yards and secure for material and coordinate material shipments with vendor. Address any material discrepancies with project manager, business unit and vendor. Work with supply chain on material transfers when needed and compute the amount of materials required to complete job orders. Establish a working relationship with project managers, coordinators, schedulers, and managers dealing with material issues and schedules.
Essential Responsibilities
Highschool diploma or GED. Minimum three years of related experience in operations (utility experience preferred). Experience in material coordination, material inspection, and data validation of material orders.

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $23.90 to $38.25 per hour

Essential Responsibilities
- Ensure material inventory levels are correct, work with schedulers and coordinators to ensure material is delivered to jobsites in a timely manner to meet construction schedules and timelines. Address material issues on site, verify project readiness (staking and mowing) on site and work with project manager to make strategic decisions to resolve issues.
- Perform site visits to verify laydown yards.
- Identify material coordination issues in collaboration with project managers, border states, schedulers, coordinators, designers, and other Distribution Operations COE’s.
- Work with vendors to schedule deliveries and off-load material at job sites.
- Audit bill of lading against material deliveries. Photograph material laydown yard once material is verified and upload to SAP.
- Schedule and coordinate pole deliveries to be off loaded along the right of way.

- Must be able to lift 50 pounds safely.
- A high awareness of safety and compliance with company safety rules is required at all times.
- Demonstrated ability to schedule and manage work activities in a manner that meets customer and/or internal stakeholder requirements
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills
- Extensive travel required within the service territory.
- Preferred experience in distribution operations, SAP, Microsoft Office.
