Workday Business Analyst (contract)

Xcel Energy is looking for a Workday Time and Absence Technology Analyst to join our team on contract. We are seeking a strong candidate who possesses a solid working knowledge of Workday's time tracking and absence functions and processes. The ideal candidate will collaborate with key HR COEs and stakeholders to understand and define requirements, delivering sustainable and effective solutions following industry standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Ensures assigned technology projects for aligned workstreams are prioritized and properly planned within HR Technology and COE/stakeholder teams.
• Interacts with business and HR unit leaders/SMEs (subject matter experts) to determine and document requirements and project objectives.
• Identifies systems gaps, resolves issues, and presents global-level solutions that add value to the business area.
• Develops/maintains configurations; investigates, troubleshoots system issues, identifies root causes, researches, tests solutions.
• Provides technical guidance to super users and support staff on the use of time/absence technology.
• Instructs team members and business unit decision-makers on technical decision points, solution adoption, supports development of training materials.
• Ensures data integrity through complete testing of data loads, identification of intersections with other workstreams, technologies, integrations.
  
  

Skills

• 3 years of experience with configuration and deployment of Workday Time Tracking and Absence modules; experience with Workday Projects is a plus.
• Effective project management skills including tracking deliverables status, navigating competing priorities/initiatives, providing timely updates to stakeholders.
• Proven consultative/coaching skills with a best practices mindset.
• Excellent communication/interpersonal skills; ability to simplify complex topics into understandable discussion elements.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to ensure accuracy in work; precision/thoroughness are essential in the time/absence domain.
