Job Description:
The Controller is responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and efficient internal controls. This role involves managing the accounting team, preparing financial statements, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Reporting:
- Develop and maintain internal financial control policies and procedures to safeguard company assets.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders.
- Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts to support business objectives.
Accounting Operations:
- Manage the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
- Oversee full cycle payroll process for all business entities.
- Manage vendor relationships, payments and negotiations as necessary
- Manage customer/client billing
- Ensure timely and accurate billing information is provided by companywide department heads
- Collections, payment plans, black-list (or on hold),
- Project setup with contract, insurance docs, deposits, green light, etc…
- Bank and Credit Card reconciliation by bookkeeping team
- Job-costing post projects preparation, review and analysis
- Manage insurance process for all business entities (i.e., property insurance, liability, EPLI, etc.)
Compliance & Filings:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial laws and tax regulations.
- Manage tax planning, filings, and audits in collaboration with external tax advisors.
Leadership & Strategy:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team to enhance their skills and productivity.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to executive leadership.
- Assist in cost management, financial planning, and strategies.

Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum [5] years of accounting/finance experience, with [2] years in a leadership role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Salary : $130 - $150
