We're looking for a Business Analyst who can perform the Project Manager and Business Analyst role for Global Markets initiatives. Take ownership of projects and other mission-critical assignments. Stay abreast of intricacies within the bank's workflows and infrastructure across Global Markets. Provide subject matter expertise on Fixed Income Securities and regulatory workflows.

Documentation - Create business user requirements documents, functional specs & test scripts.
Workflow management - Manage tasks in Jira and contribute to running IT prioritization meetings with the development team and business users.
Testing and UAT: Perform and coordinate integration, regression, and UAT testing. Run workshops and demos, arrange UAT for the project stakeholders, and follow up on the action points.
Communicate & present solutions and risks to Business & ITO management.
Provide effective and transparent reporting on all tasks and issues to management.
Ensuring adherence to all relevant compliance and regulatory policies.
Mentor & share knowledge with the team on topics to broaden the expertise and reduce dependency.
Present a comprehensive commitment to quality, with timely & functional deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Ensure a high level of local and global communication between Global Market IT teams.
- Build relationships with trading, business management, operations, compliance, and risk teams.
- Be knowledgeable of IT systems and platforms relevant to the business line you support.
- Be aware of local/global IT governance processes and apply them when needed.
- Follow the usage of standard project management tools (Jira, Service Now, document templates, etc.
- Proactively report risks & issues to stakeholders and management, especially those posing financial or reputation risks.
- Ensure the stability and high quality of the global platform by adhering to software development best practices under direction from management (IT and/or business)
- Own a delivery from beginning to end, ensuring that the integrity of the existing functionality is maintained whilst new features can be added seamlessly.
- Document new functionalities clearly and concisely, training users/APS as appropriate.
- Promoting knowledge sharing within local and global development teams.
- Provide regular and timely management reporting on the status and progress of work using the tools and direction provided.
- Proactively escalate project risks (progress delays, scope creep, etc.
- Ensure a high level of local and global communication between Global Market IT teams.
- Build relationships with trading, business management, operations, compliance, and risk teams.
- Be knowledgeable of IT systems and platforms relevant to the business line you support.
- Provide software solutions as prioritized by the NY Trading Business for the traders, TAs. and operations (trade support, MO and PnLi, and APS teams.
- Manage ad-hoc requests and incidents through to completion; undertake investigations, ensure high levels of communication, and provide tactical and strategic solutions, all in a timely and controlled manner, whilst reducing operational risk.
- Proactively collaborate (for the support of the Global Trading Businesses with local and global teams to ensure proper development, support, and maintenance of RAD systems to preempt production incidents.
- Contribute to the stability and performance of applicable IT systems by always considering the impact of changes pre and post-release.
- Collaborate with APS teams to ensure proper documentation for usage and support of all existing and new developments.
- Ensure appropriate segregation of development and production to reduce operational risks.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of full-time work experience.
- Previous experience in front-office risk and P&L development and support.
- Excellent understanding of Fixed Income products, specifically interest rate swaps and options products.
- Excellent knowledge of Python (with scientific packages)
- Good knowledge of Excel / VBA.
- Good knowledge of MS-SQL
- Working knowledge of CI/CD setups

Preferred Qualifications:

- Knowledge of C# would be advantageous.
- Working knowledge of DevOps tools such as Jenkins and Ansible.
