REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree AND 5 years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated expertise in managing Windows and Linux environments to support hybrid cloud operations, ensuring compatibility and reliability across mission-critical USGS systems.
- Proven experience applying DevOps methodologies to streamline deployment workflows and enhance system observability using AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, CloudWatch, and Auto-Scaling.
- Hands-on proficiency in infrastructure automation using tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Docker, and PowerShell DSC to maintain consistent and secure configurations across cloud and on-prem resources.
- Demonstrated ability to implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD to support agile development and automated testing for USGS cloud-based applications.
- Strong coding proficiency in Python, JavaScript, Ruby, Java, and PHP, used to support infrastructure logic, automation scripts, and system integrations within Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks.
