VMware Administrator (Remote - Fulltime)

We are seeking a highly experienced VMware Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. You will play a key role in managing, optimizing, and maintaining our VMware infrastructure for efficient and reliable business operations.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and manage VMware vSphere components (vCenter Server, ESXi hosts, vSAN, etc.) to create a robust virtualized environment.
- Manage virtual machines (VMs) including provisioning, cloning, migration, backups, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Monitor and optimize VM performance, ensuring resource utilization efficiency and resource allocation.
- Implement and enforce security best practices to safeguard the virtualized environment from cyber threats.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting of VMware infrastructure issues.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting tools (PowerCLI) for increased efficiency (Preferred).
- Provide technical support to internal users regarding their virtualized resources.
- Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in VMware technologies and best practices.
- Collaborate effectively with other IT professionals to ensure seamless operation of the virtualized infrastructure.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of demonstrably successful experience as a VMware Administrator or a related role.
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or equivalent experience (Preferred).
- In-depth knowledge of VMware vSphere architecture, components, and functionalities.
- Strong understanding of virtualization concepts and best practices.
- Experience with VM provisioning, migration, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Experience with storage area networks (SAN) and network attached storage (NAS) technologies (Preferred).
- Proficiency in troubleshooting VMware infrastructure issues and resolving VM performance problems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the ever-evolving VMware landscape.
