Job Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and service-oriented Tier 1 Support Technician to join our growing team. This entry-level position is ideal for candidates passionate about technology and interested in building a career in IT. As a Tier 1 technician, you will be the first point of contact for clients seeking technical assistance and play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer support.
Key Responsibilities:
- (50%) Provide front-line technical support: Respond to incoming support requests via phone, email, or ticketing system.
- (20%) Troubleshoot common IT issues: Diagnose and resolve basic hardware, software, and network problems, escalating more complex issues as needed.
- (10%) Assist with user account management: Perform tasks such as password resets and user account provisioning in Active Directory.
- (10%) Monitor systems and alerts: Use monitoring tools to identify potential issues and ensure system health.
- (10%) Document issues and resolutions: Maintain accurate and detailed logs in the ticketing system to ensure effective follow-up.
Expectations:
- Provide prompt and courteous customer service.
- Manage multiple client issues effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless escalation and resolution of technical challenges.
Qualifications:
- 0-2 years of experience in a technical support or help desk role.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows), and common software applications.
- Familiarity with networking concepts such as IP addresses and Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A or Network are a plus but not required.
