As an Electrical Integration Technician, you will apply your skills to perform various electrical assemblies and integrations for a laser driven inertial fusion energy system. Work includes installing conduit wire, harness assembly, developing and reading electrical drawings, supporting engineers and other development activities, including high and low voltage equipment, as well as troubleshooting and repairing damaged harnesses and test fixtures. Responsibilities
- Install and maintain electrical components, including fixtures, harnesses, connectors, instrumentation, cabinets, and related equipment.
- Inspect circuits for proper shielding, grounding, and compliance with standards.
- Troubleshoot and repair harnesses, test fixtures, wiring, and complex electrical systems.
- Develop, read, and interpret electrical designs, schematics, and written instructions; document and report test procedures and results.
- Conduct electrical system testing, quality control, and inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications, NEC codes, and safety standards.
- Safely work with high-voltage AC/DC power systems and operate multimeters, power supplies, and oscilloscopes.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to address technical challenges and ensure high-quality workmanship.
- Maintain equipment and work areas following 5S standards; ensure cleanliness, organization, and hazard-free conditions.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts and assist with overhead crane inspections at heights up to 60 feet.
- Participate in site surveys, pre-installation meetings, and the development of electrical installation plans.
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to identify, mitigate, and resolve risks.
- Provide cross-functional support to the Xcimer manufacturing team as needed.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or 3 years of experience as an electrical technician in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, ladder logic, and troubleshooting circuit problems.
- Skilled in using multimeters, power supplies, and multi-channel oscilloscopes.
- Experience assembling prototype hardware and manufacturing harnesses per engineering specifications.
- Knowledge of high- and low-voltage safety standards, wiring standards, and electrical installation techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment.
- Effective task management and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and self-delegate tasks.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with electrical principles, codes, and industrial wiring standards; knowledge of SCADA instrumentation and I/O connectivity is a plus.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee of granted asylum
