About the role
Detailers are responsible for performing the daily operational practices within the Detail Department of the car dealership. Detailers will clean vehicles according to company standards or client specifications, which may include performing detailed inspections, thoroughly washing, buffing, and polishing exteriors, vacuuming, scrubbing, and deodorizing interiors. Responsible for all other duties as assigned.
What you"ll do
Wash, polish, and buff the vehicle.
Clean interior and exterior windows
Vacuum and scrub interior of vehicle, clean rubber floor mats and carpeting
Applies preservation and revitalizing agents to interior vinyl or leather surfaces and treats fabrics with
spot and stain-resistant chemicals
Cleans engine and engine compartment with cleaning equipment and various cleaning agents.
Helps maintain showroom and stock vehicles in clean and presentable condition.
Apply dressing on tires and tire wells
Utilize special purpose cleaners to ensure lasting cleanliness of vehicle.
Operate all tools in a safe manner.
Keeps work area neat and clean.
Reports any safety issues immediately to management; must follow all company safety policies, operations, and practices
Essential Knowledge and Skills
High degree of attention required preventing injury to others or causing damage to vehicles when detailing vehicles.
Strong communication skills
Ability to analyze and solve problems.
Must maintain confidentiality of staff and guests.
Ability to operate equipment in assigned area.
Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age.
6-12 months of previous work experience (preferred)
Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in an environment that is not necessarily protected from weather and temperature.
