The Role

We are currently searching for a Senior Financial Analyst to support our team. This position will be based out of our corporate headquarters in Arlington, VA, with a hybrid work schedule of four days in the office.

As part of the company's Financial Analysis and Planning department, this position will work on annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting and building financial models to evaluate program performance. You will collaborate with the company’s senior and executive leadership team, providing them with recommendations for strategic decision making through the collection, organization, analysis, and interpretation of data. This position will also be involved with quarterly reporting, as well as other recurring reporting responsibilities. As an experienced member of the team, you will also get to mentor and train junior analysts.

Qualified candidate will possess:

• Bachelors' degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or other quantitative field.
• Equivalent of 3 or more years of experience working in a similar role.
• Superior communication skills, with the ability to convey critical information succinctly to senior management.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience building financial models.
• Experience writing T-SQL/SQL in a professional context to query databases or comparable experience.
• Experience using data visualization platforms such as Power BI (preferred) or Tableau to communicate information.
• Professional experience with financial and accounting concepts.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Potential to develop and coach other talented professionals.

Preferred candidate will also possess:

• Operational understanding of statistical concepts.
• Experience with Workday and/or Adaptive Planning.
• Experience reviewing junior analysts’ work.
• Experience with multifamily real estate.
