Director of Finance And Accounting

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in financial management, a proven track record with SAP systems, and a passion for supporting innovative manufacturing processes. Reporting to the CFO, this role will lead the accounting and finance team, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and provide critical insights to support the company’s growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting and financial functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Lead the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of SAP financial modules to streamline processes and enhance reporting accuracy.
• Develop and manage annual budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term financial strategies aligned with company goals.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and industry-specific financial standards.
• Provide strategic financial analysis to support decision-making for manufacturing operations, cost optimization, and capital investments.
• Manage cash flow, treasury functions, and relationships with banks, auditors, and other financial stakeholders.
• Supervise and mentor a team of accounting and finance professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, and sales, to align financial objectives with operational needs.
• Prepare and present detailed financial reports to executive leadership and the board of directors.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring robust internal controls and audit readiness.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, MBA, or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of [8-10] years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least [3-5] years in a leadership role.
• Extensive experience with SAP ERP systems (e.g., SAP FI/CO modules) in a manufacturing environment is required.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing cost accounting, inventory management, and financial planning in a production-focused industry.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex financial operations in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
• Excellent analytical skills with a strategic mindset and attention to detail.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and other financial software tools.
