Large Manufacturing Company located in Battle Creek Michigan is looking for a Sales Rep / Sales Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify & Develop New Business – Target system packagers, power genset manufacturers, shipyards, and other companies that develop systems integrating equipment from multiple manufacturers.
- Engage with Key Decision-Makers – Build and maintain relationships with OEMs, engineering firms, procurement teams, and project managers.
- Secure & Transition Projects:
- Identify & Secure the Opportunity – Proactively engage new customers, present solutions, and close deals.
- Transition to Project Execution – Work closely with engineering, operations, and project teams to ensure seamless execution of awarded contracts.
- Maintain Customer Relationship – Provide strategic oversight, ensure customer satisfaction, and identify upsell or future opportunities for long-term partnerships.
- Industry Engagement & Trend Analysis – Stay up to date on market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in the marine, mining, energy, and industrial machinery sectors.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 3 years’ experience in B2B sales of highly engineered solutions for:
- Experience selling to automotive, power generation, mining trucks, locomotives or marine industries
- Not required but if you have any experience in industrial equipment, industrial and processing equipment, large engines, pumps, compressors or reciprocating machinery is a plus
- Technical aptitude with the ability to communicate mechanical power transmission, vibration damping, and drive system solutions.
- Strong understanding of New Build Projects, system integration, and working with packagers, manufacturers, shipyards, and other companies that develop systems integrating equipment from multiple manufacturers
Salary : $100,000 - $110,000
