VOCATIONAL EXPLORATION TRAINER (Part-Time)

The Vocational Exploration Trainer will collaborate with internal teams to provide a variety of effective one-to-one, hands-on skills training techniques to program participants for the purposes of preparing participants for community employment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Assists in developing vocational skills and workplace behaviors to groups and individuals that support participants in acquiring and maintaining successful community employment.
Applies assistive technology to increase quality and personal output for a more consistent / positive outcome.
Ensure a supportive and encouraging environment for Participants job expectations and accountabilities used in the workplace.
Leads by example to model positive and appropriate work behaviors, and positive work ethics.
Implements interventions to overcome barriers that may prevent individuals from reaching their employment goals.
Determines the use of technology applications within operations and services to enhance quality and increase outcomes.
Maintains a professional rapport and provide quality customer service to all inquiries, concerns and complaints with all internal / external stakeholders.
Collaborates with the rehabilitation team to achieve goals, customer standards and deadlines.
Completes accurate information for reporting and ensure documentation compliance with licensing, regulatory, accreditation and internal standards.
Promotes safety and welfare of self and others.
Transports consumers to volunteer sites and trial work experience sites.
Ensures document and reporting complies with required standards according to DOL and CARF accreditation
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE :
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience with working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
Effective verbal and written communication. Bilingual skills preferred.
Must possess a flexible attitude; excellent listening skills necessary to interact with individuals with disabilities
Ability to perform basic mathematical functions.
Possess a valid driver’s license & acceptable driving record.
Proficient in Microsoft Office
