Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer to join a well-established industrial equipment manufacturing company in the Greater New Orleans area. This role is responsible for developing detailed technical drawings and schematics that drive the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CAD software and engineering or architectural principles, ensuring precision and efficiency in design execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings and schematics based on engineering concepts.
- Collaborate with engineers and project teams to refine designs for manufacturability.
- Utilize AutoCAD or similar CAD software to produce accurate and efficient layouts.
- Review and modify designs to align with industry standards, company requirements, and project specifications.
- Maintain organized documentation and drawing revisions for reference and future use.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless execution of design plans.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in drafting or design.
- Associates degree in drafting, or other industrial related focus, OR relevant technical certifications.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
- Strong understanding of engineering, manufacturing, or industrial design principles.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
