Position Summary
This position is responsible for managing daily distribution and warehouse activities and assisting Operations as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible for overseeing and assisting with completion of workload pertaining to daily assignments, pick/pack and warehouse activities in Distribution which include the following:
- Staging and assembly of shipping orders, packing and/or crating for shipment, verifying compliance with shipping regulations relating to process documentation and handling of pharmaceutical product.
- Maintains inventory of finished product warehouse.
- Maintains and organizes all shipping and packing materials.
- Maintains an inventory log of packing supplies and notifies key personnel when packing supplies are in need of re-order.
- Immediately notifies Vice President of Operations, QA and Project Management of any discrepancies related to shipment and/or status of drug product.
- Act as liaison with Vice President of Operations and Distribution Project Management in determining and maintaining inventory levels, expiration dates of products including finished goods as well as components.
- Maintains warehouse storage of product according to cGMP compliance procedures.
- Enters data into ICS system as it pertains to the shipment of clinical materials and movement of materials within the warehouse.
- Computes tariff codes, weight and volume of finished product that is exported to foreign countries in courier computer systems.
- Verifies conversion of product weights or volumes based on country’s method of weight/measure.
- Process shipments according to requirements of courier operation systems.
- Maintains work area and related warehouse and dock areas in a clean and orderly fashion and in accordance with cGMPs.
- Responsible for maintaining workflow in the Distribution Warehouse including prioritization of daily packaging and storage and staging of packaging materials.
- Responsible for “First Check” or assignment of the “First Check” function and related “Just in Time” labeling activities.
- Assists with the initial GMP and SOP training of staff upon hiring.
- Completes annual reviews, provides feedback and mentoring as needed.
- Responsible for ensuring the safety of personnel, good housekeeping, and sound employee relations.
- Communicates with Vice President of Operations regarding observed training deficiencies.
- Assist with the creation and revision of Standard Operating Procedures.
- Interacts with clients during visits and/or audits.
- Assists with the GMP and SOP training of staff as needed.
- Ensures that Distribution Warehouse staff is properly trained in GMPs and Xerimis SOPs on an ongoing basis.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned

- 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience

- Previous broad experience with various positions in a clinical packaging/pharmaceutical setting
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
