Duties:
- Follow laboratory safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Maintain accurate records of experiments, results, and observations
- Prepare electrodes via slurry mixing, coating and calendering
- Fabricate lithium-ion cells in different formats including coin cells and pouch cells
- Perform lithium-ion cell testing and data collection
- Assist in the development of research projects and protocols
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and project completion
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment.
- Excellent mathematical skills for calculations, and familiarity with Microsoft excel
- Self-motivated, attention to detail, ability to follow strict protocols and document experimental procedure and results accurately in both written and electronic formats
- Proficiency in operating laboratory equipment. Experience with electrode slurry mixing, coating and cell fabrication is a plus.
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and interpretation
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and present findings
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
A degree in a related field (Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or related scientific field) or relevant work experience is preferred but not required. Training will be provided for qualified candidates.
