We are looking for a Phlebotomist to work in our Patient Service Center in Elmhurst Queens. This is a full time position during the day.
Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens from patients
- Label and process specimens for laboratory testing
- Maintain accurate records of patient information and test results
- Follow proper procedures for specimen collection, handling, and transportation
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during the phlebotomy process
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program
- Current certification as a phlebotomist (e.g., CPT, PBT) preferred
- Knowledge of laboratory techniques and procedures
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
