Fabricator / TIG / MIG Welder
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Fabricator / TIG / MIG Welder to join our fast-growing team.
In this role you’ll get to:
- Produce, high quality sheet metal parts using a variety of materials mainly Aluminium and Mild steel.
- Work closely with the sheet metal fabrication team to ensure products are manufactured according to drawings and ensure all work is completed on time.
- Read and understand manufacturing drawings/specifications.
- Take ownership of work and be responsible for project deliverables.
- The confidence to directly input into designs and manufacturing of jigs and fixtures to enable fast and accurate manufacture of our components.
To excel you will need to:
- Have a minimum of 3-6 years experience in sheet metal fabrication, preferably in high volume production of sheet metal parts with a preferable automotive /mining background, understanding the demand for delivery.
- Understand that the safety of people is first and foremost.
- Apply our chosen quality system ISO 9001, however any other quality systems i.e. NPI, DFx, Six Sigma etc are all welcome.
- Be able to do TIG and MIG welding of mild steel and aluminium parts.
- Be motivated and flexible, while working with a tightly integrated team, always willing to learn and show initiative where needed.
- Use of the following or similar machines, Tru-bend CNC Press Brake, Trumph laser cutter, hydraulic press forming, various welding machines, band saw, drill press, and various power tools etc.
