Global Mobility Manager
Summary of Position
As a valuable member of the Global Total Rewards Team, the Global Mobility Manager role will be a key contributor to support team initiatives aligned with the Company strategy, specifically managing the global and domestic relocation programs as well as supporting all employment immigration needs to ensure these programs enhance our ability to attract and retain top talent. This role will provide global mobility and immigration subject matter expertise and strategic advisory support to Talent Leaders and Business Managers; advising on the right fit policy based on business and employee needs and the appropriate structure for tax and immigration planning purposes. This individual must be a strategic champion for workplace excellence, challenge the status quo, focus on continuous improvement and be driven to deliver results.
Responsibilities
- Provide domestic strategy, operational support, and policy interpretation to key stakeholders, employees and suppliers. This involves oversight of domestic supplier services, and issue resolution with the business, employee, property sales/acquisitions and suppliers.
- Creates and implements strategy, policy, procedures, governance, and compliance activities
- Manage external vendor relationships including operational outsourced team members and the processes, programs, policies, contracts and service levels associated with their tasks
- Report analysis and preparation for activity and budgeting.
- Keep up to date with market trends impacting global mobility, workforce movement and domestic relocations
- Lead mobility-related initiatives and program enhancements
- Provide assessments and consulting on all relocations of new hires and transferring employees, including domestic, international, intra and inter regional transfers. Work includes compensation, benefits, immigration and tax analysis for feasibility.
- Coordinate with outside tax and immigration consultants to ensure compliance of international matters are appropriately managed. Includes tax planning and strategy work.
- Collaborate with stakeholders including senior leadership, HR, finance and payroll teams to ensure mobility program operations are accurate and compliant globally.
- Provide ongoing education to stakeholders on current policies and processes.
- Operate as a subject matter expert and provide strategic solutions for US-based employment immigration, working with outside counsel. Includes consultation and planning with employees and the business for new hires, green card cases and visa renewals as well as responses to requests for evidence by USCIS.
- Manage M&A activities related to global mobility
- Manage complex situations independently
- Solve problems impacting the program; identifies ways to improve; Act as escalation point
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned within broader Total Rewards Teams
Qualifications
A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career. You will bring experience and knowledge in:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field preferred
- 10 years experience in global mobility field
- Additional experience in HR, compliance, data analytics, vendor management, project management, strategy design or management consulting helpful
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with key stakeholders and employees at all levels across the organization
- Experience working with H1-B new hires and other temporary work permits
- Familiarity of cross-border global mobility functions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to convey complex guidance in terms that are clear, professional, and concise
- Ability to develop and understand new processes quickly
- Ability to manage multiple relocations, projects and issues simultaneously
- Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines.
